Quick answers

Is EltaMD available in Canada again?
Yes. As of October 2026, EltaMD face sunscreens are back in stock through authorized Canadian retailers. Your Skin Solution carries the full Canadian face range and ships from Canada in Canadian dollars.
Which EltaMD products are back?
Five face sunscreens: UV Clear SPF 46 ($85), UV Clear Tinted SPF 46 ($88), UV Daily SPF 40 ($83), UV Daily Tinted SPF 40 ($83) and UV Physical Tinted SPF 41 ($87).
Has the formula changed?
No. These are the same formulas Canadian customers were buying before: 9 percent transparent zinc oxide as the base filter, the same actives, the same tube sizes.
Which one should I buy if I am new to EltaMD?
UV Clear SPF 46 for oily, combination or breakout-prone skin. UV Daily SPF 40 for normal to dry skin. UV Physical SPF 41 if you want mineral filters only or need water resistance.
Do I still need to order from the US?
No. Canadian stock is here, labelled for the Canadian market, without duties, brokerage or the wait.
Can I set up a reorder so I do not run out again?
Yes. Every EltaMD sunscreen on our site can be put on a subscription, so the next tube ships before the current one runs dry.

What is back, and at what price

EltaMD built its name in dermatology offices with a short list of face sunscreens that people actually keep wearing: oil-free, fragrance-free, built around transparent zinc oxide. In Canada the face range is five tubes, and all five are in stock.

EltaMD face sunscreens in stock in Canada, October 2026
Product Filters Best for Price
UV Clear SPF 46 9 percent zinc oxide, 7.5 percent octinoxate, 5 percent niacinamide Oily, breakout-prone, redness-prone skin $85, 48 g
UV Clear Tinted SPF 46 As UV Clear, plus iron oxides The same skin, worn without foundation $88, 48 g
UV Daily SPF 40 9 percent zinc oxide, 7.5 percent octinoxate, hyaluronic acid Normal, dry, combination skin $83, 48 g
UV Daily Tinted SPF 40 As UV Daily, plus iron oxides Dry or post-procedure skin, worn alone $83, 48 g
UV Physical SPF 41 9 percent zinc oxide, 7 percent titanium dioxide (mineral only) Sensitive, post-procedure, active days $87, 85 g

For the full breakdown of each tube, the EltaMD in Canada buying guide covers all five in detail.

What has not changed

This matters most to people who were loyal to a specific tube. The stock arriving now is the same EltaMD: the same 9 percent transparent zinc oxide base across the range, the same octinoxate pairing in UV Clear and UV Daily, the same titanium dioxide pairing in UV Physical, the same 5 percent niacinamide in UV Clear, the same hyaluronic acid in UV Daily, the same 48 g and 85 g tubes. Nothing has been reformulated and nothing has been downsized.

Two small things to know. The Canadian carton can word a few details differently from US listings, because sunscreens are regulated separately here by Health Canada; the tube you buy is the Canadian one. And the Canadian range is deliberately narrow: the five face sunscreens above, with each tinted product in a single sheer shade. If you were used to browsing the longer US line-up online, that is the difference.

If you are restocking

If you were a UV Clear or UV Daily regular, there is nothing to re-learn. Pick up the tube you were using and carry on. Three practical notes for anyone who has been stretching a last tube or using something else to bridge the gap:

  • Check the old tube before you finish it. Sunscreen that has been open for a long stretch, or stored somewhere warm, can separate or change in texture. If the last of your old EltaMD looks or smells different, replace it rather than finishing it.
  • Apply the right amount again. People rationing a tube tend to under-apply, and a thin layer does not deliver the labelled SPF. A quarter teaspoon for the face, two finger lengths, every morning.
  • Consider a subscription this time. Every EltaMD on our site can be set to reorder automatically. If running out was the problem, this is the simplest fix.

Restock shortcuts. Oily or breakout-prone: UV Clear SPF 46. Dry: UV Daily SPF 40. Mineral only or water resistant: UV Physical SPF 41. Tinted versions of UV Clear and UV Daily are in stock too.

If you switched to something else

Plenty of people moved to another sunscreen while EltaMD was hard to find, and some of those are good sunscreens. There is no obligation to switch back. But if you have been thinking about it, here is an honest way to decide.

Come back to EltaMD if the sunscreen you switched to feels heavier or greasier than UV Clear did, stings or makes your eyes water, leaves a cast you did not get before, or you simply miss the niacinamide in UV Clear, which most replacements do not include at a 5 percent dose.

Stay where you are if the replacement suits your skin, you like the finish, and you are applying it generously every day. The most important thing about a sunscreen is that you wear enough of it, consistently. If you found one you wear without thinking, that counts for a lot.

If you switched to a ZO Skin Health sunscreen and are weighing the two, the ZO sunscreen comparison lays out that range filter by filter. If you moved to a mineral sunscreen and want to compare it with UV Physical, the UV Physical guide has the full ingredient list.

If you are new to EltaMD

The whole range comes down to three questions.

  1. Do you want mineral filters only? If yes, UV Physical SPF 41. If no, or you do not mind, carry on.
  2. Is your skin oily, or dry? Oily, combination or breakout-prone: UV Clear SPF 46, oil-free with 5 percent niacinamide. Normal to dry: UV Daily SPF 40, a moisturizing lotion with hyaluronic acid that can replace your day cream. The UV Clear vs UV Daily comparison settles this one in a few minutes.
  3. Will you wear anything on top? Foundation on top: untinted. Nothing on top: the tinted version. The SPF is the same either way.

Whichever you choose, sunscreen is the last skincare step in the morning and the first thing on before makeup. Here is why it outranks every other step, including through a Canadian winter.

How to buy, and how not to run out again

EltaMD is sold in Canada through dermatology and medical aesthetic clinics and through authorized retailers. We are an authorized Canadian retailer, which means our stock comes through the Canadian distributor, is labelled for Canada, and ships from Canada in Canadian dollars. Orders over $99 ship free, and every order includes samples.

If running out is what you want to avoid, two options. The first is a subscription on the product page: pick the interval that matches how fast you use a tube (a 48 g tube lasts six to eight weeks at the correct daily amount) and the next one ships before you need it. The second is simply to buy two. Sunscreen keeps well in a cool cupboard, and a second tube on hand costs nothing extra.

Frequently asked questions

Is EltaMD back in stock in Canada?

Yes. As of October 2026, the EltaMD face sunscreen range is back in stock through authorized Canadian retailers. Your Skin Solution has UV Clear, UV Clear Tinted, UV Daily, UV Daily Tinted and UV Physical in stock and ships from Canada.

Is this the same EltaMD formula as before?

Yes. The formulas, filter percentages, actives and tube sizes are unchanged. The only difference you may notice is wording on the Canadian carton, which follows Health Canada labelling.

Which EltaMD should I restock?

The one you were using. UV Clear SPF 46 if you were on it for oily or breakout-prone skin, UV Daily SPF 40 for dry skin, UV Physical SPF 41 for mineral-only or water-resistant protection. The tinted versions of UV Clear and UV Daily are also back.

Can I buy EltaMD in Canada without ordering from the US?

Yes. Canadian stock is available now from authorized retailers in Canadian dollars, so there are no duties, no brokerage fees and no cross-border wait.

Does Your Skin Solution carry the full EltaMD range?

We carry the full Canadian face sunscreen range: five products. The Canadian line-up is narrower than the US one, so some products you may have seen on US sites are not sold in Canada.

Can I subscribe so I do not run out of EltaMD again?

Yes. Every EltaMD sunscreen on our site can be set up as a subscription from the product page. Choose an interval that matches your use; a 48 g tube lasts about six to eight weeks at the correct daily amount.

How should I store sunscreen so it lasts?

Cool and out of direct sun. Avoid leaving it in a hot car or on a windowsill, use it within the period marked on the tube, and replace any tube that has separated or changed smell.
